London, ON March 22-2013 - The National Drag Racing Association (NDRA) will introduce their 2013 program at London, Ontario’s “The Speed & Custom Car Show” this weekend.
Funny Car and Doorslammer fans will get a chance for up close and personal interaction with some of the cars, drivers and crews of the fastest sport on earth.
On hand at the NDRA booth will be Dylan Hache and his 3,000hp, 2002 Firebird Alcohol Funny Car that runs at 250 mph in the five-second range. Representing the Doorslammer dimension of the NDRA will be a trio of supercharged 2,500 plus horsepower Pro Doorslammers of Dave Earhart with his ’02 Camaro, Jack Brohman and his 1969 Camaro SS along with Al Martorino and his ’06 Mustang.
Also at the show, renowned Canadian Alcohol Funny Car driver, Paul Noakes will showcase his ’02 Mustang and greet his many fans throughout the weekend. Noakes was the NDRA’s 2012 Top Alcohol Funny Car winner of the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals at Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex as well at Cayuga Dragway’s Canadian Nitro Nationals and placed 10th in the NHRA, Division 3 TA/FC. He has an amazing personal best performance of 259 mph in 5.60 seconds!
All of the National Drag Racing Association cars are sure to draw a crowd as they do at the Ontario drag strips where they put on some of the best high speed entertainment in motorsports.
The Speed & Custom Car Show runs Friday, March 22 (4 PM – 10PM), Saturday, March 23 (10 AM – 10 PM) and Sunday, March 24 (10 AM – 4 PM) at the Western Fair District – Agriplex Building, 845 Florence St., London ON.
ABOUT THE NDRA
The National Drag Racing Association will present two racing classifications in 2013 with its Alcohol Funny Car Series entering its second season of competition, while the newly added Pro Doorslammer division will provide spectators with an enhanced dose of high-octane entertainment.
