NDRA – A Show within a Show at the Canadian Nitro Nationals
Cayuga, ON – July 11, 2013 – Toronto Motorsports Park’s Cayuga Dragway is the place to be this coming July 12th – 14th weekend when they host Canada’s largest independent drag racing event.
The 4th Annual Canadian Nitro Nationals promises to be a dynamic, energy-filled entertainment as Cayuga Dragway has stepped up the program to be bigger and better than ever.
The National Drag Racing Association (NDRA) will be there in full force with their Alcohol Funny Cars, Pro Doorslammers and Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars.
Larry Dobbs will have to be at his best to maintain his NDRA Alcohol Funny Car 2013 series lead with his ’02 Napier/Sportz Truck Tents backed Firebird. After the first outing, Dylan Hache in his 2002 For Wheels Auto Care sponsored “Bird” is gunning for the 2012 NDRA AFC champion in a big way.
Hache isn’t the only one looking to take out Dobbs. Brian White, Ron Bankes, Todd Loughry, Vince Rastelli and others all want a piece of him too!
The NDRA Doorslammers are geared for some intense competition this weekend. In their first year, the competition has been tight and with only two events left, each of the teams has set their sights on the 2013 championship. Get set for some fierce match ups in this dynamic third race of the series.
In both classes, they’re a hungry bunch so the racing action is going to be hot!
The bonus to the National Drag Racing Association show is the challenge of the NDRA Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars.
Doug Cadman and his crowd favorite ’73 Dodge Charger “Chi-Town Hustler” will put his Alan Johnson 426 Hemi up against Gary Kraus’ BAE Hemi powered ‘ 72 Ford Mustang “Pony Up”. When these two 3,000 horsepower nitro gulpers line up, the fans will be on the edge of their seats!
Without a doubt, the National Drag Racing Association will be a high energy, adrenaline pumping “show within the show” at Cayuga Dragway this weekend.
Also featured at the Canadian Nitro Nationals will be an amazing power cast of Scott Palmer and Todd Paton in their nitro methane Top Fuel Dragsters along with the 8,000 + hp Nitro Funny Cars of Todd Lesenko, Del Worsham, Jack Wyatt and Dale Creasy.
Added to the entertainment menu are the PMRA Pro Mods, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, Outlaw 10.5 Association, Pro Bike and Sled Series, Jet Dragsters and “Shockwave”, the triple engine jet Peterbilt semi.
